Welcome to the 21st Annual Workshop on
Emerging LC-MS/MS Applications in Environmental Analysis and Food Safety!
The main objective of the workshop is to evaluate practical aspects of the usefulness of high resolution mass spectrometry and tandem mass spectrometric techniques for screening and quantitation of organic contaminants in the environmental and food samples. The following practical aspects and state of the art applications will be discussed:
- Advances in HRMS instrumentation and their applications in environmental and food analysis
- Non-target Analysis (NTA) and Bioinformatics applied to environmental and food samples
- Advanced Wastewater Based Epidemiology (WBE) for public health
- Fate, transport, treatment, and effects of emerging contaminants
- Challenges, new methods, and applications in environmental studies and food authenticity
This international workshop dates back to 2005 and takes place annually either in Spain, Canada, or the USA. The workshop provides a forum to present and discuss recent scientific findings, exchange ideas, and to further investigate and troubleshoot challenges and needs related to advances in Liquid Chromatography HRMS and MS/MS applications in the field of environmental and food safety. This two-day workshop combining plenary and poster sessions is intended for scientists from academia, government agencies, industry, analytical instrument manufacturers, and students, all of whom are encouraged to present their work. This meeting allows for networking and collaboration opportunities with other professionals for potential support and enhanced productivity, and presents an unparalleled venue for younger scientists to meet and learn from the best in the field. This in-person 21st HRMS and LC-MS/MS Workshop will be held in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. The workshop is free of charge to all presenters and attendees thanks to the generous support of our sponsors.
